On October 6, the Orientation Week was officially opened – an event dedicated to Erasmus+ students from all fields of study.
  The ceremony was inaugurated by Prof. Justyna Patalas-Maliszewska, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation. Staff members of the Welcome Center and representatives of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) presented the internationalization activities of the University of Zielona Góra and its involvement in the Erasmus+ programme.
  Dr. hab. Sylwia Kondej, Erasmus+ coordinator at the Faculty of Science and Technology (for the Physics and Mathematics programmes), presented the faculty’s international initiatives and discussed the engagement of staff and students in Erasmus+ activities.
  Afterwards, participants had the opportunity to watch a series of fascinating liquid nitrogen experiments, prepared by Dr. Stefan Jerzyniak and Mr. Sebastian Kruk. The presenters demonstrated, in an accessible and visually impressive way, how low temperatures affect the properties of materials.
  The event was also a great opportunity for new students to integrate with the university community.
