On Thursday, 4 December, another edition of the traditional Quantum Pizza event took place, once again combining a relaxed atmosphere of social integration with the fascinating world of quantum phenomena. The meeting brought together Erasmus+ students from Spain, Nigeria and Brazil, as well as Polish students.

A special guest of this year’s event was Mr Candelario, a high-school teacher from Spain, who prepared the famous tortilla de patata, a traditional Spanish dish.

The scientific part of the meeting was devoted to analysing the model of a quantum particle in an infinite potential well. The students demonstrated that the energy spectrum is completely quantised and discussed the corresponding quantum states. The discussion was accompanied by an active exchange of ideas and strong engagement among the participants.

The lively atmosphere of the event was enhanced not only by the scientific dialogue but also by delicious pizza, which—together with the Spanish tortilla—has become a hallmark of the meeting.

Once again, Quantum Pizza proved to be a successful combination of scientific exploration and the integration of the international academic community.
