We invite you to the lecture
“3D Printing at the Micron Scale Using Two-Photon Polymerization”
Prof. Muamer Kadic from Université Marie et Louis Pasteur, SUPMICROTECH, CNRS, institut FEMTO-ST, F-25000, Besançon, France will give a popular science lecture on Tuesday, May 13 at 12:00 PM, in Room 106, Building A-29, Szafrana 4a Street.
Abstract: In this talk, we will explore the capabilities of three-dimensional (3D) direct laser writing (DLW) based on two-photon polymerization [1]. We will begin by introducing the fundamental principles of DLW and the key factors that govern gray-tone lithography [2]. Building on this foundation, we will examine the extension of DLW techniques to elastic and thermo-elastic metamaterials [3], opening pathways for the fabrication of soft actuators and metamaterials [4,5]. Finally, we will discuss the exciting opportunities that DLW presents for directly printing complex 3D optical waveguides, with a view toward their applications in advanced computing and photonic systems [6].
